Absa Cape Epic - 2019 Route Revealed!

Cape Epic (South Africa) - Press Release: We announced the route for the 16th edition of the Absa Cape Epic and the reaction has been fantastic. It is going to be tough but will introduce riders to some of the most spectacular parts of the Western Cape and take in many of the region’s best mountain biking trails – a challenge to every rider, from the professionals at the front end of the field to first-timers just wanting to make it to the finish line. Finishers will have covered 624km and gained 16 650m of altitude when they roll across the fields of Val de Vie for a well-deserved medal.

The public also had a first peek at the new race logo, which has been adjusted to accommodate Absa’s new brand and the Africanacity feel. We had grown very fond of the old logo but think this one is even better.

There’s a lot going on at race headquarters – with new events and sponsors coming on board – but the 2019 Absa Cape Epic will retain all the elements that have made it a world-leader… and some innovations to make it a race to remember.
