Bafang (China) - The opening ceremony of the Bafang test track was held at Suzhou Shui Baxian Ecological Park and it was officially put into operation on 18 May 2022. This professional test track
was built by Bafang Electric (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. with an investment of more than one million RMB in the first phase. In the future, the in-house test track will be used for the determination of failure modes and the quality risk of Bafang’s integrated drive systems. This represents a valuable method for the strict checking of products’ performance parameters and reliability under real conditions, inorder to create a safer and more comfortable riding experience for future customers.
Suzhou, May 2022: In recent years, the demand for eBikes has increased due to a variety of factors, including health and environmental reasons, among others. Considering the current market situation and atmosphere, Bafang continues to promote its guiding principle of "commitment to the customer". The bicycle testing program is being given increased investment and serves to effectively improve the compatibility of the products used/assembled, so that the individual components can be ideally adapted to customer requirements in the respective e-bike categories. Bafang's sustainably designed, 8km-long test track is located in a 10,000 hectare industrial area (up to 60% forested) alongside a centrally located lake. It reflects a variety of everyday cycling situations in terms of topographical factors and features sections with different road surfaces such as cement, asphalt, gravel and stone. Real-life riding conditions of 10- and 15-degree inclines and riding on wet surfaces can also be tested.
In addition to building the track, Bafang is establishing a professional cycling testing team that
covers different body types and riding styles to test all aspects of product performance in relation
to different riding habits.
"With the new test track, we are in the advantageous position to be able to do some promotion,
whether it is generally to push the idea of cycling culture or to intensify communication with other
industries and partner brands. We are now able to conduct more real-world professional tests to
gain data for product improvement of the globally deployed innovative and electric drive systems,"
said Mr. Wang Qinghua, Chairman and General Manager of Bafa
