Billy Bonkers - Schwalbe's New Jumping Talent

Schwalbe Tires (Germany) - Schwalbe's new profile for Pumptrack, Dirt Jump and Slopestyle has what it takes to win: The extremely light 490g tire (26” versions, Performance Line) not only rolls quickly, but it is also very playful and agile. At the same time, Billy Bonkers offers its riders a forgiving landing, even when things in the air don’t go exactly as planned. Its tread design, produced for maximum traction on crushed gravel and hard dirt, forgives even bigger mistakes.

Billy Bonkers rolls best at a maximum pressure of 80psi. The high pressure helps to provide improved puncture protection. "The finely divided blocks multiply the gripping edges, while in the middle, small ramps help ease roll-off and make the tire even faster," explains Carl Kämper, Schwalbe Product Manager MTB. The result: more airtime. "If I'm faster, I'll fly higher."

Billy Bonkers, the successor to the proven Table Top, is available beginning mid-November with three versions in the size 54-559 (26”x2.1”) at your local bicycle shop:

  • An Active Line clincher with K-Guard and Classic Skin sidewall for the price of 18.90 euros
  • A 490 gram, lightweight folding tire in the Performance Line in Black with Addix compound for 32,90 Euro.
  • A 490 gram, lightweight folding tire in the Performance Line with Classic Skin and Addix compound for 32,90 Euro.
