Ceepo Released the New 2021 Stinger

Ceepo (Japan) - Press Release: We are looking beyond 2020 with this bike and know many of you would make good use of it. Either, purely as a road bike or as a second bike for a more diverse training schedule that includes hill climbing and fast descending.

First offered over a decade ago as an affordable and versatile triathlon solution, the Stinger has evolved into a super light, aero road bike frame to rival the best. Benefitting from CEEPO's extensive knowledge of aerodynamics, the frame is shaped with truncated airfoil tubes to slice through the air and still provide stability at speed. Particular attention has been paid to weight and all-round road riding capabilities.

CEEPO’s aerodynamic heritage continues to influence our lightest frame yet:

While still maintaining classic road frame handling mixed with the latest carbon-fiber technology, the new Stinger has been improved in every way. The Stinger is able to compete with the very best since it is now over 120 grams lighter and in some places up to 20% stiffer than the previous model.  Wider tire clearance for the new wave of sizing, future proofs riders with more options. Internal cable routing for shift and brake cables brings integration to the highest level.

A latex bladder used in the molding process results in a perfectly smooth internal surface, eliminating imperfections and weak spots.

UCI Legal Design:

Applying to be recognized as a UCI legal frameset meant that we could cut no corners. The qualification allows riders to enter any race and ride with more confidence. This has elevated the Stinger to deserve recognition as one of our best sellers.

One piece fork and steerer:

This balances light weight with the stiffness required for disc braking and high performance handling.

SRM Stem:

In a slight swing from frame set tradition, included with the frameset is an SMR stem from Vision/FSA. Integration with the full 1.5” headtube, headset and steerer tube to guide brake and gear cables internally. This allows for a more efficient and aerodynamic profile while also giving easy access for maintenance. The SMR system lets you use any handle bar and avoids compatibility issues.

XS and S - 90mm, M - 100mm, L - 110mm

Aero Tubes:

Truncated airfoil shape tubes are designed for greater aerodynamics and keep the stiffness and weight values of a non-aero frame. The fork and seat stays are wider for reduced turbulence and tire clearance up to 32mm.

Tire clearance:

The Stinger keeps up with the 'wider is better' trends we now see in biking. With enough clearance to allow for tires up to 32mm, the frame is future-proofed and ready for anything you want to throw at it. This extra clearance gives riders a broader range of rims and wheelsets to choose from too.

BB Type:

BB386 for widespread crankset compatibility. The wider BB area is more streamlined and stiffer to provide better power transfer and more clearance for the rear wheel.

Seat Tube:

Recessed seat tube bottle cage area.

Brakes:

Thru-axle with Flat mount - 142/12 rear - 100/12 front. The Stinger is compatible with the very latest components from Shimano, SRAM, and more.

Wide Range Seat Post:

The seat post has 50mm of fore and aft adjustment to make it compatible with a wider range of saddles and positions. The Ritchey one-bolt clamp’s versatility includes carbon rail saddles.

Head Set:

1.5” - 1.5” integrated stem and headset is the logical solution to simply remove cables from the wind.

Frame:

High-modulus carbon 830g (M size)

Fork Full carbon fork 404g
