Team Dimension Data (South Africa) – Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka announced that double British national champion, Steve Cummings has extended his stay with African Team.

Cummings’ hunger for success has increased year on year. Bouncing back from injury to become double British national champion, in 2017. Steve holds a special place in the squad. He has connected with the Qhubeka charity, influenced and inspired his teammates and delivered world class performances on the bike. “We are delighted the British star has committed his future seasons, as a professional rider, to Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka, says Doug Ryder, team principal for Team Dimension Data.

Jay Thomson, Jaco Venter, Johann van Zyl and Jacques Janse van Rensburg have also signed new deals with Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka that will, once again, see them ride alongside fellow South African, Louis Meintjes in 2018. The quartet are long standing members of the team. "As backbone members to our African Team, we look forward to chasing success together in 2018 and flying our South African flag proudly", shared Team Dimension Data.

Steve Cummings – Rider:
"I’ve spent three of my best years with this team. I love the whole project and the way it has progressed and continues to progress. I’m super happy, grateful, honoured and proud to be part of this amazing team and project. There is a real pathway for all aspiring African riders from Qhubeka to U23 to World Tour level. I want to continue to help the team grow and I look forward to hunting my own opportunities".
