Bookman (Sweden) - Press Release: ABC Awards have been announced and Bookman Urban Visibility has earned the award for outstanding product design in the “Bicycle Parts and Accessories” subcategory of the transportation category. Bookman’s Curve Front Light earned the top honor for the signature minimalist design and focus on usability that distinguish Bookman’s lights. The award, presented by the German Design Council, bears a prestige that’s recognized around the world. Bookman is both humbled and thrilled to be a recipient of such an award.

Curve Front Light:

The Curve Front Light gives cyclists a greater peace of mind when they choose the bike as mobility. The ABC Awards incorporate the entire world of mobility and recognize winners for their unprecedented contribution to the sector. The Curve Light was conceived as a set to cast a wide range of light, not only in front and back, but also on the lateral sides. The resulting 360-degree visibility increases safety at crowded junctions, in traffic roundabouts, and on poorly lit roads. The light’s threshold design and usability features qualified it for inclusion in the competition, what earned the judges’ approval for an award was its uncomplicated aesthetics, which make it both intuitive and innovative.

We at Bookman are indebted to the support we’ve received since our first campaign evolved into a nation-wide visibility awareness drive to the present. This ABC Award is a manifestation of Bookman’s design ethos and all the hard work that’s been poured into arriving at this moment. Curve Light in two new colors:

Independent of the award but testimony to its demand, this autumn Bookman will officially release Curve Light in two new colors: beige and blue. They will be available to the public at the end of August at selected retailers.
