Vitus Bikes (United Kingdom) - Press Release: Helen will be riding our Vitus Auro TEAM eTap TT Bike and Vitus Vitesse Evo CRX eTap AXS Road Bike in her quest to challenge for further World Championships success at the Ironman 70.3 distance.
GB triathlete and two-time ITU world champion, Helen Jenkins returned to racing this February at Ironman 70.3 Dubai to finish in the top 5 following a 4-year break that involved having two children and two spinal surgeries. In this race, Helen was in the top two out of the water and had one the best runs of the day but she felt there was a huge amount of room for improvement in the bike, in terms of equipment, fitness and position.
“We’re stoked to have Helen join the Vitus Family. After a 4-year break from Triathlon, having had two kids and two spinal surgeries, Helen’s comeback story is truly inspiring! Her 4th place at the Ironman 70.3 in Dubai back in February was just incredible. It demonstrates the dedication and love Helen has for the sport and the sheer motivation to be back at the top after an extremely eventful few years. Helen will be using our Vitesse Evo CRX eTap road bike and Auro Team eTap AXS TT bike. We are really proud to be supporting Helens come back and excited to see what the future holds for her.” - Chris McGlinchey – Vitus Marketing Manager.
