Festka (Czechia) - Press Release: Continuing the X anniversary project, here is the second bike that was invited to the birthday party. Launched in 2015, the Doppler gradually became an iconic model for Festka. Going against the flow in the small world of frames that combine titanium and carbon, we put the former where it looks best and the latter where it works best. The tapered head tube, the bottom bracket, the chain stays and the seat tube simply ask for wound carbon fibre due to its weight to function ratio, while the titanium top and bottom tubes, seat stays and dropouts give the Doppler class and comfort. The titanium tubes of the Doppler gave us an opportunity to use anodization in the design schemes – a technology that enables us to achieve often spectacular results.

The anniversary model features a unique finish. The titanium tubes are coated using the Diamon-Like Carbon (DLC) technology – a modern method of hardwearing coating used in products exposed to friction and other wear and tear causes. In our case the effect is highly decorative, especially in combination with the sandblasted lines of the underlying design scheme of this model.

As with the Scalatore X introduced earlier, this bike is offered as a limited edition of ten full builds fitted with carefully selected components including Campagnolo Super Record 12s, Cane Creek titanium cranks, Carbon TI chainrings and disc brake rotors, Lightweight Wegweiser EVO wheels and a Schmolke cockpit. And the KMC chain is DLC coated, too, for strength, resistance to corrosion and reduced wear and friction.
