Garmin announces API Integration with Indoor Cycling Applications
Garmin (USA) – Garmin International, Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd., announced upcoming support of API integration with indoor cycling applications TrainerRoad®, The Sufferfest and Zwift®. In an effort to provide a better year-round view for our cyclists on Garmin Connect™, the integration will allow users to seamlessly import their activity files created by these third-party indoor cycling applications directly into their Garmin Connect account.

When logged into their TrainerRoad, The Sufferfest and/or Zwift accounts, users can opt to link their Garmin Connect account to automatically import workout activities from these third-party applications where they will be viewable alongside their outdoor cycling activities.

About Garmin Connect:
Garmin Connect is a free online fitness community that allows users to analyze training progress, set and track goals, and share activities with other Garmin Connect users or on social media sites. Relive a run, evaluate heart rate, compete on segments and join online challenges for extra motivation to reach fitness goals. Additionally, users can plan their workouts, or grab a training plan to send directly to their compatible Garmin device.

About TrainerRoad:
Cyclists get faster with the science-backed training from TrainerRoad. Every indoor workout a rider completes using the TrainerRoad app is based on power and calibrated to their personal fitness level. Along with a vast library of structured workouts, cyclists get access to training plans that tell them exactly what to do to achieve their unique fitness and race goals. It’s power-based training in its most sophisticated and guided form.

About The Sufferfest:
The Sufferfest Complete Training System is the most comprehensive training app available for time-crunched cyclists and triathletes. Users get unlimited streaming or offline access to a massive library of structured cycling, running, and triathlon workouts, as well as advanced fitness testing, 20 Yoga for Cyclists videos, and a 10-week Mental Training Programme. Every workout is designed by world-class coaches and sports scientists to provide maximum benefit with minimum time, combining killer soundtracks, engaging storylines, and exclusive footage of the world's biggest professional races to put athletes in the middle of the action. The app also includes a full suite of structured training plans for road, mountain, triathlon, and cyclocross, developed in partnership with the elite coaches at APEX Coaching. Connection to smart trainers, heart rate monitors, power meters, cadence sensors, and speed sensors allows athletes to train to specific targets and analyze performance data. Available for iOS, macOS and Windows.

About Zwift:
Zwift is a company of dedicated cycling enthusiasts that also happen to be experienced software and video game developers. Combining that passion and deep understanding of the fitness world, Zwift is the first company to use massive multiplayer gaming technology to bring the outdoor experience indoors.
