Sidi is entering the world of gravity. Introducing the Dimaro, a new performance shoe with specific features designed for enduro, MTB and downhill.

These two adrenaline-inducing sports take place on breath-taking trails and are super exciting to watch. Although enduro and downhill are part of the larger family of fat tires cycling, they are decidedly different from cross country sports and have specific technical aspects that set them apart.

The difference between enduro and downhill:

Downhill is the major sport on the gravity scene, in which riders take on the forces of gravity with their bikes down breath-taking inclines and around parabolic curves in manoeuvres that border on the impossible. In downhill races, the trails are all on dizzying descents and riders usually take vans or lifts to reach the starting point.

Enduro is the latest sport to emerge in the gravity sector. It is based on typical downhill descents, with the added challenge of climbing, which serves as a means of conveyance that isn’t added to the overall time but which does carry a time limit.

The new Dimaro shoe for enduro and downhill was developed from the experience Sidi has acquired throughout the years in the cross and mountain bike sectors, and in association with Vibram, a brand specializing in the production of outdoor soles. This innovative shoe features high performance and a stylish design that is perfect for the gravity world.

The sole in rigid, smooth rubber gives the shoe the stability and flexibility required for enduro and downhill. Furthermore, it was developed to provide maximum adherence between the shoe and the pedal, preventing mud and detritus deposits.

The sole can be adjusted based on personal preferences with a removable cap. For riders who use flat pedals, the foot remains free but maintains excellent pedal grip. For riders who instead use spd pedals, the cap is removed to allow the sole to hook into the clip.
