INEOS Grenadiers Launch Zwift Partnership with Around the World Fan Ride

INEOS Grenadiers (United Kingdom) - Press Release: Zwifters everywhere will be able to ride with the Grenadiers across an epic 10 hour ride, to mark the start of a new partnership.

Following the record breaking eRide and eRace activations of 2020, the INEOS Grenadiers have joined forces with Zwift to make them our official virtual training community partner.

To celebrate the launch of our partnership we decided to do what we’ve done best in the past, to give our fans and Zwifters of the world the chance to take to the virtual roads and go for a spin with their heroes.

On May 1st, 10 Grenadiers will ride on 10 different routes for a combined 10 consecutive hours of Zwifting, so everyone should be able to join one of our Around the World launch rides, no matter where they are. Each Zwifter’s avatar will ride a Pinarello F12 and get to wear and keep the official INEOS Grenadiers Castelli training kit.

2020 Giro d'Italia winner Tao Geoghegan Hart will fire up his Wahoo KICKR to kick off proceedings at 10am BST, riding on his virtual home roads of the London Pretzel. The rest of the rider and route combinations will be announced soon, so keep an eye out on our Team and Zwift channels for more information.

Eric Min, Zwift CEO and Co-Founder said: “Last year we broke our event records when we provided Zwifters the opportunity to ride with the INEOS Grenadiers, including three Tour de France winners. I’m excited for us to build on the success of those events as we continue to offer new and exciting ways for cycling fans to engage with their heroes and to benefit from the team's extensive training expertise.”

Dave Callan, INEOS Grenadiers CMO said: “In 2020 we saw the team take to the virtual roads and had record-breaking fan participation eRides via the Zwift platform, which was followed by the first ever virtual team race. For us, it demonstrated the power of the platform to bring fans from all around the world closer to the team, and we’re looking to build upon that as part of our partnership over the next three years. What better way to start than giving fans the opportunity to ride alongside and engage with the Grenadiers over the course of ten back-to-back hours, whilst taking in some of the new and exciting in-game courses.”
