MRP (United States) - Mountain Racing Products (MRP) is searching for an experienced Suspension Design Engineer to join our engineering team and help MRP to continue providing our customers with innovative, award winning suspension and drivetrain components. MRP’s in-house manufacturing facility, testing equipment and amazing local trails allow our engineering team to be flexible and creative and give us the ability to quickly bring products from concept to completion.

This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering and will be an integral part of MRP’s product design and development team. Duties include: product conceptualization, design and development, component and product sourcing, testing and evaluation, intellectual property development, production support, and providing technical support to internal departments and customers.

Requirements include:

1. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in one or more of the fields of: suspension system development, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, bicycle drivetrain products, and general product development.
2. Substantial experience and proficiency with:
   1. Successful suspension product development,
   2. Standard fabrication and evaluation machinery and processes,
   3. Instrumentation methods and implementation for data gathering to evaluate product performance characteristics in a development and troubleshooting environment,
   4. 3D modeling, including fluency in 3D/2D design utilizing ProE/CREO software products (or similar software), and utilizing design for manufacturability (DFM) precepts,
   5. 2D drawing creation for supplier and in-house interface, including fluency in GD&T,
   6. Implementation of structural evaluation of components or products utilizing Pro Mechanica or CREO Simulate package (or similar software),
   7. Software packages such as Draftsight (2D), data gathering & management packages, and standard office software,
   8. Statistical data evaluation and decision making processes pertinent to product testing and optimization in support of identified product requirements, and
   9. Patent application & review process.
