KTM revealed the New 2018 Myroon 29 Sonic with just 8,15 Kg
KTM (Austria) – The new Nano Carbon frame is only 975 grams light. With a frame weight of just 975g, KTM introduced the lightest Myroon ever.

The Myroon Sonic also has the best stiffness to weight ratio ever:
  • Myroon 2016 – 1260g
  • Myroon 2017 – 1085g
  • Myroon 2018 – 975g
It took KTM a number of revisions to optimize the carbon layups, but they now combine several manufacturing techniques, including nano technology and use the highly modular 40T fiber, to reach their goals.

Another innovative manufacturing technique changed the inner surface of the frame, the result is smoother, therefore lighter as well as stiffer:
  • 33% Lighter
  • 120% Stiffer
