New Syncros Fraser iC SL Cockpit

New Syncros Fraser iC SL Cockpit

Syncros (Switzerland) - Press Release: The new SCOTT Spark features a major update to the Fraser cockpits as we move to a semi-integrated cable system. A new headset integration and a system of covers keeps everything nice and neat.

We’ve updated the sweep and rise in line with current ergonomic best practise and the bars feature a variety of mounts no matter what accessory you want to run.

Our previous range of Fraser and Hixon cockpits are still available too.

Key Benefits:

Weight:

By removing unnecessary hardware and material we are able to achieve lower final weights without sacrificing performance or durability.

Stiffness:

More is not always better, because of our unique one piece construction we are able to tune our stiffness. This allows us to offer bars with higher stiffness when sprinting that are at the same time more compliant when descending.

Construction:

Fiber continuity is the key here, by combining multiple components into a single piece we have more control over the way the fibers are used and how they perform.

Integration:

Both in terms of design and function, our iC components work in harmony with the bike creating a single, more sophisticated system.

FRASER World Cup:

The bar of choice of Nino Schurter and the SCOTT-SRAM team, the Fraser WC features our integrated bar and stem concept, now also allowing for the integration of cables on the front of the bike. Extensive testing allowed us to scan perfectly the desired position of Nino, Lars, Andri and Kate for reach, drop and sweep, allowing them to get a super low and fast position matched perfectly to what they need to race at the highest level at the World Cup. With three different angles and 6 different stem lengths offered, there are plenty of options to achieve your preferred bike fit.

"The new bars are redesigned to be stiffer and lighter, giving me more control over the front end of the bike on descents and hopefully giving me back a few precious watts on the climbs. My position on the bike has also been significantly improved with this new custom handle bar. Working with Swiss biomechanics, we were able to get my position much lower and a bit closer - putting me in a better position to charge down technical descents and even be able to make it up technical climbs. Plus, with the semi integrated cables, it looks clean and fast. Can’t wait to rest it out on the race course soon!" – Kate Courtney, Scott-Sram MTB Racing.

FRASER IC SL:

Our standard Fraser iC SL XC cockpit features the low position favoured by cross country racers and is available in a variety of lengths. A new geometry concept means that rider height doesn’t change no matter what stem you run.

FRASER IC SL DC:

New to the range is our Down Country version the Fraser iC SL DC. This cockpit has a zero degree rise stem angle giving a slightly more upright position, perfect for the longer travel Spark 900 or riders who don’t want to get so low. The 760mm width inspires confidence on the downs.
