Portus Cycles (Germany) – Portus Cycles goes into production of the new Krowd Karl at kickstarter - Pinion gearbox, Enduro, Cross-Country, steel, crowdfunding and completety made in Pforheim, Germany.

With four years of experience custom builder Alex Claus and his team are starting their first production model. It’s based on the C1.12 gearbox by Pinion and is named “Krowd Karl”.

“The Enduro-Version, made out of very reliable and super strong Reynolds 853 tubeset for hard riding with obvious descent oriented geometry. The straight line between top tube and seatstays doesn’t have only an aesthetic background. It’s providing plenty of standover height for technical downhills, if needed”, shared Portus Cycles.





Krowd Karl CC:


The Cross-Country version, made out of lighter Columbus Zona with modern geometry and higher top tube for two bottle cages and/or frame bags for Bikepacking.

Pricing starts as an ‘early bird’ at 2200€ for frame including pinion C1.12 gearbox.
