Sam Hill Mega 275C Day of the Dead Bike Check

Sam Hill Mega 275C Day of the Dead Bike Check

NukeProof (United States) - Press Release: Back in Rotorua, New Zealand in 2015 it would have been impossible to foresee what the next few years had to offer for Sam Hill and Nukeproof. A 10 place that day, but crucially a stage win and the lure to race full time at the Enduro World Series was ignited.

Fast forward to Wicklow, Ireland in 2016 and still just “giving it a go” he grabbed an unexpected 2nd place podium. Another 2nd place at La Thuile and then the breakthrough win in Valberg, France. The fire for Enduro was well and truly lit.

Sam made the decision late in 2016 to focus full time in enduro in 2017. This gave him the off season to alter his training to focus on the endurance and strength needed for the demands of the EWS. The return was noting short of outstanding. Overall World Champion, 4 podiums and 1 win) was an amazing debut for our new Mega 275 (Alloy and Carbon). Sam showed that he is the most complete racer out there with a balance between speed and also the consistency to mange himself and his equipment untroubled through each race.

For many “normal” people a title would be enough, but Sam is a racer and he wanted the wins to go with the title. Again his hard work and dedication paid off, 2018 was nothing short of amazing. Total domination of the series, winning 4 out of 5 rounds at the start of the series to give him a comanding lead in the overall. But, the way the points are structured in the EWS, mean a none finish really hurts you, so again he blended massive speed and consistency to ensure he earn’t himself and his Nukeproof Mega a second consecutive title.

When you are teamed with the worlds best rider maybe you should come to expect these results, but really, it still feels like dream land. Watching a legend like Sam on a Nukeproof is simply awesome. Whats more its a frame that all our customer riders can buy (you can even get a flash paint job from Refurbmybike too if you like).
