Scapin's New 2018 Oraklo Hardtail Bike

Scapin's New 2018 Oraklo Hardtail Bike
Scapin (Italy) – "Research on innovative, unique, particular and high-end solutions": seen from the side, the frame reveals the powerful tension of its structure. The particular form of the frame was designed in order to make the most out of the elasticity of the material and, thanks to a specifically studied fibre alignment, to make it more flexible and thus comfortable and at the same time resistant. The tests done on the Oraklo 148 show that its structure reacts better to stress compared to the previous version, with a 13% increase in the front end and a 14% increase in the rear end. The slightly revised and updated geometry has lowered the central movement by 5 mm which makes the whole structure more manageable and stable.

Stability Flex Systems:

The particular shape of the frame is designed to exploit to the full the elasticity of the material and, also thanks to a tailor made mix of fibres, to make it more flexible, hence more comfortable, and at the same time more resistant. The tests carried out on Oraklo 148 showed that its structure reacts better to stresses, with an increase of 13% at the front and 14% at the rear (compared to previous versions).

Boost 148 - Innovative Technology, Now it's the New Standard:

"In the last two years, the Boost standard, patented by Sram has risen to become a “must have”, above all with the aim of increasing rigidity of the rear wheel and increasing space to house larger tyres, even when the stay is reduced", stated Scapin.

"The system designed by Sram shifts the chain line (and therefore free wheel) outwards by approx. 3 mm. The hub flanges take up 3 mm on each side, which obtains a rear hub with a width of 148 mm. However there is no change to the Q Factor thanks to this standard, where a 29” wheel will reach nearly the same levels of rigidity as a 27.5", they added.

1.5 Tapared HT - Greater Steering Precision:

Conical steering has now become synonymous of stability and precision of steering. The increase in the lower section of the steering, coupled with a 1.5-inch conical fork increases the steering sensitivity and the distribution of the ground impact. Making the bike more manageable and controllable in any condition.
