The New 2017 Bossnut V2 MTB Bike from Calibre Bikes

The New 2017 Bossnut V2 MTB Bike from Calibre Bikes
Calibre Bikes (UK) – A new and improved version of Calibre's full-suspension mountain bike.

The frame of the Calibre Bossnut V2 has increased its lateral stiffness with the introduction of a one piece rocker link, which in turn has given greater clearance for a larger rear tyre – great for those UK winters.

It now has wider WTB tubeless ready rims that give an overall stronger wheel, and more importantly a better tyre profile to allow more control and grip.

The effective top tube of the bike has been stretched a little, this gives more room to maneuverer and allows a shorter stem which gives better steering control and confidence in steeper terrain.

A key part of what makes the Bossnut such a great bike is its well thought out and awesome spec list, and this continues for 2017, with the Rock Shox Sektor Silver forks and the Monarch R rear shock keeping the bike in control and wanting to go faster.

Shimano Deore provides the drive while the clutch rear mech keeps the chain on over the roughest terrain, with the Shimano hydraulic brakes keeping everything in control with one finger.

A short Calibre trail stem and wide 760mm Ritchey handlebar give the rider superior control in steep terrain and allow the bike to be thrown around with confidence.

  • Increased the effective top tube length, whilst decreasing the length of the stem to give a more controlled and confident ride
