Topeak (Germany) – For 2018, Topeak has unveiled the PakGo X bike case (for 650c and 700c road and TT bikes) at the Eurobike Show in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The PakGo X bike case, expected to be available to consumers in late January of 2018, boasts its upright design which allows luggage-like ease for rolling when traveling, includes a built-in TSA lock, carrying handles, and four large multi-directional wheels, making the case incredibly mobile with little effort.
According to Topeak, "the PakGo X’s shell is made from the German polymer, Makrolon®, a polycarbonate material that makes PakGo X tougher, stronger, lighter, colorfast, and more abrasion resistant than other carriers, weighing in at 12kg/26.5lbs (case only)". Internally, the PakGo X includes an internal mounting stand which is removable from the case, compatible with both QR axles and 12mm thru axle, holds the frameset steady, and also allows for easy disassembly and reassembly.
Additionally, included with the case are two wheel bags, a dummy hub and chain guide, a headset spacer, protective padded sleeves, and drivetrain cover, all provide protection against scratches and grease stains, along with inner pockets to help keep the gear organized.
The PakGo X will be soon availabe to the market in 2018.
