Trek (USA) - Trek issues voluntary nationwide recall of model years 2015, 2016, and 2017 720 Disc bicycles and Bontrager Approved TLR Disc 700 C 24H front and rear wheels.
In coordination with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Trek has announced a voluntary recall due to a wheel set that exhibits a higher rate of spoke breakage. On the front wheel, a broken spoke could engage with the brake caliper, causing the bicycle to stop suddenly, resulting in serious accident. Your safety is very important to us. Therefore, Trek will replace the wheels on an affected bicycle or an affected aftermarket wheel, free of charge. For complete details, see full notice on Trek's website.
What to do if you own an affected product: stop riding your bicycle until the wheel(s) has been inspected and contact a Trek dealer or Trek Customer Service for free replacement. For more information call 800-373-4594, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. CT.
