Tirreno Adriatico (Italy) - Press Release: Warren Barguil (Team Arkea – Samsic) has won Stage 5 of the Tirreno-Adriatico Eolo, 155km of riding between Sefro and Fermo. Xandro Meurisse (Alpecin-Fenix) and Simone Velasco (Astana Qazaqstan Team) were second and third on the finish line.

Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) retains the Maglia Azzurra.

PROVISIONAL STAGE RESULT:

1 – Warren Barguil (Team Arkea – Samsic) – 155 km in 3h39’53”, average speed 42.295 km/h

2 – Xandro Meurisse (Alpecin-Fenix) at 10″

3 – Simone Velasco (Astana Qazaqstan Team) at 14″

GENERAL CLASSIFICATION:

1 – Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates)

2 – Remco Evenepoel (Quick Step-Alpha Vinyl Team) at 9″

3 – Thymen Arensman (Team DSM) at 43″
