HP Velotechnik Streetmachine Gte with Neodrives Motor

Recumbent bike and rear motor: it simply fits together. That’s why HP Velotechnik is equipping all 15 series with the Neodrives Z20 from Alber, replacing its previous premium manufacturer GO SwissDrive. The change had become necessary for the Hessian recumbent bike manufacturer after the Swiss announced their withdrawal from the market at the beginning of 2019.
“We searched with great intensity and promptly for a system that was at least equal with the others,” reports Paul Hollants, Managing Director of HP Velotechnik, and sees himself on the same wavelength as Alber: “No motor is as powerful and at the same time as harmonious as a rear hub motor.The fact that the Swabians have been found so quickly is a pleasure for partner Daniel Pulvermüller for several reasons: “Whether it’s a recumbent bike or a trike, this form of cycling is characterised by its quiet, enjoyable gliding through the countryside. The whisper-quiet rear motor fits this better for many than the usually clearly audible geared motors on the bottom bracket.” Alber also has great experience as a motor manufacturer in the field of medical mobility aids: “This is an excellent addition to our rehab bikes.We expect this to give us many new impulses in this segment”.
With the Streetmachine Gte the neodrives Z20 system is also available for HP Velotechnik's "modern classic" - their first model which has been carefully developed and enhanced over more than 25 years now. Being the choice of many world travellers, the Streetmachine Gte has uncounted global circumnavigations in the books now, but also plays out it's strengths in everyday life. Among the large variety of available options to individually customize the Streetmachine Gte there are two gearing options available with the neodrives Z20 system: either a Sram 30 speed derailleur shifting or the Pinion C1.12 internal gear box.
Electric Bike Company Model C
The Model C is a classic style electric cruiser, built to order, 100% customizable, arrives fully built, has a range up to 100 miles, a max output of 1250 watts, a load capacity of 380 lbs, and a speed up to 28 mph. It is proudly built and assembled in the USA.
It is constructed with aircraft grade aluminum 6061 hydroformed frames and we increased the thickness of our frames from 1.5 mm to 3 mm in all crucial areas. We complete a 7 step process including painting, cleaning, base primer, 3 coats of paint, and 2 coats of clear sealant. A heat treatment gives extra strength and durability.
Our motor uses top quality neodymium magnets and quality copper windings ensure efficient, quiet, and high performing motor functions. The motor has a continuous output of 500 watts, while maximum output is 1250 watts.
We use certified, tested and internationally approved Samsung, Panasonic and LG cells for safety, reliability, range and life cycle. (See the Contact page for international safety certificates and testing approvals.)
The patent-pending, internal charger with retractable cord means you never have to worry about bringing a charger with you. The built-in fan keeps the battery cool and improves performance. An external, super-charging port is included for an optional rapid charger. A smart BMS is used for safety, performance, and longevity.

We have specified all our hardware and integrated bearings in our headsets and bottom brackets to be 100% stainless steel, rust resistance and corrosion free.

For this reason, we build our wheels from scratch in our factory, under our strict control and management to ensure the highest quality result. We inspect, test and use the highest quality 13-gauge stainless, non-rust spokes and brass corrosion free nipples for both front and rear wheel construction. Our state-of-the-art wheel truing machine ensures perfect wheel alignment, truing and balancing.
