Garmin Launches New Montana® Series of Portable GPS Devices

Garmin (United States) - Press Release: Garmin has unveiled the new Montana® series, featuring the Montana 710, Montana 710i, and the rugged Montana 760i, further strengthening its lineup of portable GPS navigators. These devices, ideal for various outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and off-road driving, are equipped with 5-inch color touchscreens that are durable and easy to view, even with gloves on. Additionally, the series offers compatibility with multiple mounting options (sold separately), making it adaptable to ATVs, boats, cars, motorcycles, RVs, and other vehicles.

The Montana series is designed to guide users on diverse adventures, including trails and challenging terrain, with preloaded TopoActive maps. These maps detail terrain contours, elevations, coastlines, rivers, landmarks, and more.

The Montana 710i and Montana 760i models include integrated inReach® technology, offering adventurers greater peace of mind. With an active inReach service subscription, users can stay connected even in areas outside cellular coverage using satellite communication. These devices enable two-way text messaging and location tracking via the Iridium® satellite network, which is available globally. In emergencies, users can send an interactive SOS alert to the Garmin Response℠ international emergency coordination center, available 24/7.

Dan Bartel, Garmin's Vice President of Global Consumer Sales, commented: “Whatever the adventure, the new Montana series can guide you and keep you connected, even when exploring off the grid. With TopoActive maps, colorful touchscreens, and long battery life, you can confidently push your limits while the optional inReach technology helps you stay in touch with loved ones when cellular coverage is unavailable.”
