British Triathlon (United Kingdom) - The team at British Triathlon are looking to recruit a Triathlon Head Coach to be responsible for the overall leadership of the Triathlon programme at the BTF Pathway Centre in Bath.

The primary purpose of the role is to lead the delivery of the swim, bike, run programme in Bath to achieve the centre’s key aims, which are, chiefly, to support athletes to Deliver Excellence on the Commonwealth stage (short-course) and to support the underpinning pathway (including developing athletes towards the WCP).

The role is based at British Triathlon’s English Pathway Centre at the University of Bath. This centre is part of the wider BTF centre structure, which includes two World Class Programme (WCP) centres in Loughborough and Leeds, and two further Pathway centres in Cardiff and Stirling. As we look towards the future, this is a truly exciting opportunity to work, and play a vital role in developing, the next generation of Elite British Triathletes. The role will also present the opportunity to support the National Programme with travel at camps and competitions around the globe.

This role would be ideal for any developing coach who is motivated to build their own triathlon programme and culture (aligned and supported by that of the University of Bath and British Triathlon). It will benefit from being a key part of the British Triathlon coaching team – and therefore accessing the suite of coach development opportunities planned by BTF for the Paris cycle - whilst also being fully integrated into the University of Bath coaching and Performance Support teams.

The role therefore presents a unique opportunity for aspiring World Class coaches to build leadership and management skills whilst continuing their technical swim/bike/run coaching journey. Any coach who is driven by their own coaching development, who craves autonomy and accountability, but is also passionate about being part of the British Triathlon pathway, is strongly encouraged to apply.
