For the 2018 collection Guerciotti introduced the cyclocross bike - the Eureka CX. Like the others two top of range Eureka Air and E740, the Eureka CX has a monocoque frameset, made in a single piece, always in full EPS technology. This allows the rider to have an extremely lightweight frameset, maintaining the same performance as the previous Lembeek disc model. Only Torayca carbon fibers are used: T700 (70%), T900 (20%) e T1000 (10%). The high carbon T1000 is used primarily in the maximum torsion constraints and for the reinforcement of the chainstays in the brake disc zone.
"The use of these materials and innovative rear design (Cross Design Concept) guarantee greater frameset’s elasticity, without reducing significantly torsional rigidity. This design provides a more reactive frameset in all the situations of relaunching the action, where in the cyclocross are frequent", explained Guerciotti.
"To develop Eureka CX has been important the experience and suggestions of the italian elite champion, Gioele Bertolini. Besides it is used the T1000 fiber in the 3K always braided in the BB shell area (but notvisible externally). In order to get more resistance and safety in all the hardest and extreme race situations (frequent situations mainly in the Belgium races, faced with high average speeds), the frameset has been tested with load biggers than 30% of the current regulations", added the company.
Eureka CX includes all the modern standard for a disc brake frameset:
