From the outset, the aim when developing the all-new Inflite CF SLX was to come up with a series of solutions that enable the rider to slash seconds off every lap. A unique patented carrying system, mountain bike-inspired geometries and a reduced layout for maximal mud clearance makes for seamless dismounts, enhanced handling control and a bike that stays cleaner for longer, so racers spend less time in the pits and more time on course.

The Inflite CF SLX is the first full-carbon cross bike Canyon has produced. Switching to carbon enabled the engineers to not only produce one of the lightest disc frames on the scene at just 940 g (size M), but also create a structure strong enough to meet the punishing demands of modern cross through thorough application of the material. Snappy accelerations out of switchbacks and lasting durability are guaranteed.

As with all Canyon developments, integration plays a key role in producing a better bike. With the H31 Ergocockpit CF racers benefit from a strong and stable platform for sprints, while the cross-adapted dimensions contribute to direct and accurate handling. At the rear, our proven integrated clamping concept has been applied to the Inflite CF SLX to drastically improve compliance so the rider can spend longer in the saddle for fresher legs when it counts.

By creating a new 3XS frame size for this segment, the Inflite CF SLX is able to cater for riders from 152 cm and above, delivering the broadest size range on the scene. To guarantee the best handling across the spectrum, size 2XS and the new 3XS frames are engineered around 650B wheels. This new standard transforms the riding experience for smaller riders meaning they can enjoy the snap and agility required when tackling technical cross courses.
