Wilier Launches Flagship Wheelset

CeramicSpeed (Denmark) - Known for their expertise in high-performance carbon bicycle frames Wilier have launched their first wheel collection equipped with CeramicSpeed bearings.

The historic Italian-based Wilier Triestina are a brand that not only masters the art of carbon high-performance bicycle frames, but they also combine each product that they develop with the highest levels of technical compliance. Their devotion to performance recently resulted in a new range of high-end carbon and aluminium wheels designed for top performance. This progression was as a natural step in completing the Wilier components on the eponymous racing bikes.

Aero, fast and light, Wilier’s new wheel range comes in three options, accommodating every taste and cycling demand. For their first wheel collection, they have also optimised the carbon lay-up manufacturing process that allowed them to reduce the overall weight while maintaining tyre support. All wheels are manufactured and assembled in Italy as Wilier chose to partner with component expert Miche.

ULT38 KT – Smooth Riding and Durability with CeramicSpeed:

For their top of the line ULT38 KT wheels, Wilier chose CeramicSpeed to optimize bearings for their custom hubs, demanding extreme durability and the lowest rolling resistance to ensure smooth riding. With a total weight of 1390g for the pair, the carbon ULT38 KT is not only stiff and responsive but also light without compromising the performance. The wheels are optimized for tubular tyres and disc brakes.

AIR50 KC – Aerodynamics and speed:

For their second option, a clincher wheel, Wilier opted for 50mm profiles hubs that are tubeless-ready. With a 19mm internal and 26mm external rim width, the AIR50 KC wheelset is focused, as the name suggests, on the aero advantage delivered by the pair at only 1590g.

NDR38 KC – Reliability and durability:

Designed for endurance, the final wheel option that Wilier offers is a 38mm profile for carbon rims, weighing just 1665g and designed to be used tubeless-ready.
