Mint Socks (USA) – The concept is a minted collection of three fresh designs introduced quarterly with models being archived once sold out. Creative brain behind the designs is Cassette Creative’s, Tim Vangilder, former Creative Director of Crank Brothers.
Designed with style or ‘sock doping’ in mind, MINT socks borrow colors and patterns from mid-century modern forms. The first collection of three, of varied heights, includes Triangulate (pictured / 5.5” tall), the Dreamer (6.5” tall) and the Chutney (7” tall).
Straight out of the gate, MINT is revenue sharing with the National Interscholastic Cycling Association and is intent on making NICA a part of their platform with the NICA logo included on the header card as well as the B2C insert. For every pair of socks sold through their B2C channel, MINT will donate a dollar to NICA. For every pair sold through the IBD channel, MINT will donate fifty cents.
Ayotte, a former NICA Development Director said, "The simple fact is, NICA gets more kids on bikes, and those kids get their parents on bikes which is ultimately growing our consumer base. NICA has made high school mountain biking a sport where no one is benched and where everyone participates in practice and in every race. We’re talking 16,000 active students in 2017 with annual growth of 35% year-over-year. NICA is literally contributing toward a healthier society and building a foundation for our industry tomorrow. And yes, it means more people wearing socks."
MINT socks are designed in the USA , made in Italy and retail for $20.
